Hi. I’m Charlie.
If we haven’t met yet, I can’t wait until we do. Is it okay if I sniff you for a couple minutes while you get settled? Can I sit close to you? Can I sit on you? Emily has been trying to help me with my boundaries, and I am a people pleaser so if I’m a little too close for comfort, just say so.
Emily told me I should mention that before coming to live with her I was left alone a lot, and it stresses me out to not be in close proximity to humans every minute of the day. If I’m lucky, Emily brings me to work with her though she says she always checks in with you first.
