I know life can be hard, and if you have experienced trauma it can be difficult to talk about. Sometimes a different approach is needed. As a trauma-informed, expressive art therapist, building trust and safety is always my first goal. Together, we can find creative ways to understand your inner experience and uncover new coping skills that feel aligned with your current values.
I specialize in treating people who have experienced trauma, loss, substance use, depression, anxiety, and those going through life transitions including parenthood. When working with me, my hope is that you will feel more present in your body, less alone, and develop skills to regulate your nervous system that feel safe, accessible, and meaningful.
In addition to expressive modalities, I also utilize Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) and body-based, movement therapy when appropriate. I offer individual and group work. My ideal clients are curious, willing to explore, and eager to develop more compassion and a deeper understanding of self. I work with emerging adults and adults ages 18 and older.
In 2017, I moved from Southern California to Maine eager to experience the seasons. I fell in love with the cold winter, the woods and the possibilities of spring. I love to spend the day at the beach collecting rocks and shells with my husband and young child. I love moving my body, and find the deepest wisdom within. I love journaling, poetry, coffee, art making, and a good dance party.
