“Oh, the places you’ll go.” Dr. Seuss
Hi, I’m Holly. I’m passionate about creating a safe, supportive space for clients to explore their stories and embrace their strengths. My journey to becoming a therapist began in college when I experienced firsthand the transformative impact of therapy in my own life. During the COVID-19 pandemic, while working as a case manager, I decided to deepen my work with people by pursuing a career in therapy. Through my graduate clinical work and professional experiences, I’ve learned so much about myself, my clients, and the power of the therapeutic process.
I take a humanistic approach to therapy, focusing on building a trusting relationship where you feel heard, seen, and valued. Sessions are usually client-led, focusing on what feels most important to you that day—but whether you prefer a more structured session or an open-ended one, I’ll adapt to meet your needs and provide the support you’re seeking. I see therapy as a collaboration where we work together to help you navigate life’s challenges and discover your innate self-worth and capabilities—your powers as a person.
I integrate experiential methods into my practice, often incorporating creative arts, music, movement, and play-based interventions. These approaches can access deeper levels of understanding and healing that words alone sometimes cannot. I work with adolescents and adults aged 12 and older, with a particular focus on LGBTQIA+ experiences, life transitions, trauma, relationships, self-esteem, and anxiety.
For each client I work with, my goal is to inspire hope, foster self-awareness, and promote holistic well-being. I believe that meaningful, personal change can ripple outward, creating a more compassionate and mentally healthy world. It’s a privilege to be part of that journey and to support clients in building their sense of purpose, joy, and resilience.
Outside of therapy, I love spending time with my dog, Bo, exploring Maine’s beaches, hiking, and hunting for sea glass. I also enjoy woodworking, DIY projects, and playing guitar. On a typical day, you might find me cooking, biking, playing video games like Minecraft, or singing along to Wicked. One of my favorite books is Oh, the Places You’ll Go by Dr. Seuss—a perfect reminder of the growth and possibilities life offers. I look forward to meeting you and working together on your path toward a fulfilling, empowered life.
